Refinished Piano

This piano has been in the family for a while.. my brother bought it some years ago and it was passed down to me when he moved to Florida. Its a good upright piano, and has looked nice in our living room, but hasn't gotten as much use as I hoped it would have..

Anyway, we decided to give it a new finish to match our refinished coffee and end tables (see previous post for those). The plan was to take it up to Encore when it was finished, find another one to refinish, and keep switching them out each time one sold.. But I've been outvoted.. The girls up at Encore weren't real excited about having a piano to move around, and Adrian thinks it might take too long to sell. (Its not just everybody that needs a piano.) Besides, my friends/piano movers keep ignoring my offers of dinner and good company for piano moving services.

So the new plan.. is the old plan.. minus the Encore part.

Anyway the piano is about done.. I'll probably brush a tobacco colored stain over the topcoat to give it a more Tuscan look and might even do some stenciling on it if it doesn't sell before I get around to it. Its worth around $300 without the finish ...so maybe $450 for it now. (Btw, I can deliver for $100+ depending on the distance.)

Here's the pics of the piano.. (and maybe the lighting threw off the pics a little, but you can see the detail really well on the closeup of the bench top)
